Williamsburg, VA: "The Witches' Ball" at Yankee Candle Company, October 30, 2010
The Witches Ball is an all day event hosted by none other than Mrs. Claus. Come for some treats including cat barf cookies. What a great time to do a little Christmas shopping for Yankee Candles too.
Lynchburg, VA: "Halloween Hunt, Costume Contest" at Amazement Square, October 30, 2010
There's a costume contest as well as a fun scavenger hunt around this amazing kid's museum. The party lasts from 3 to 5 pm.
Richmond, VA: Children's Museum of Richmond, (CMoR) Halloween Activities 2010
There are two spooktacular events for Halloween at CMoR. Wear your costume to the Spooky Party on October 30th and enjoy fun Halloween games from 10 am to 4pm.
Also, there's a Halloween Hoopla, October 31st with pumpkin painting and trick or treating. Adults are $4.00, kids are FREE but you must get tickets in advance.
Richmond, VA: "Haunts of Richmond" at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum, Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays in October 2010
You ghost of a guide will take you on a walking tour. Be ready to hear some haunting tales. Tours begin at 7:30 and 9:00 pm.
Williamsburg, VA: Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum, open everyday in 2010
Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum doesn't wait until October to get creepy but the Halloween season is a fun time to come see the unbelievable for your self. There are eleven galleries and a 4D theatre for plenty of tricks and treats. The museum is open daily year round but hours vary so please check the web site.
Staunton, VA: Candlelight Tours at the Frontier Culture Museum, October 21-23 & 28-31, 2010
Enjoy candlelight tours of the historic farms at Frontier Culture Museum starting every thirty minutes from 6 to 8 pm. Enjoy ghost stories, folktales and refreshments too and this treasure of Virginia.
Washington, D.C.: "Boo at the Zoo" at the National Zoo, October 22-24, 2010
Not technically in Virginia but Boo at the Zoo is at the National Zoo in neighboring Washington D.C. From 5:30 to 8:30 enjoy the "wildest" time trick or treating. There will be keeper talks, decorations and of course snacks.
Charlottesville, VA: Virginia Discovery Museum's Halloween Party 2010
This museum is fun anytime but this Halloween party will be great family fun for costumed kiddies. Enjoy games and crafts and other hands on discoveries.
Charlottesville, VA: Paramount Theater, Creepy Shows through out October 2010
