10 Things that Annoy Me on a Daily Basis

We all have situations, behaviors, reactions, and incidents that we find annoying. I decided to start paying attention to what was bugging me on a daily basis, just for kicks. Generally I'm an easy going person and not difficult to get along with. However, there are things that just really annoy me about other people's behavior, random situations, and also things I find annoying about myself!

10 things that annoy me on a daily basis (in no particular order)

1) Wasting groceries! I buy vegetables and fruits with the best of intentions, but it rarely seems to work out for me. It seems that every day I am having to throw away the strawberries I didn't get to eat, or the squash I forgot to cook, and on and on. I waste too much money buying food and letting it go to waste. It is annoying and expensive.

2) Forgetfulness! Every day I drive away from my house, hit my garage remote and then 1 mile down the road I can't remember if I actually did close my garage door. Sometimes I just have to turn around, drive back and check. It is annoying.

3) Finding out too late that my order is wrong! I know on those occasions that I pick up an order at a restaurant or fast food place, I need to check the order before I go. Most times I forget to do that, drive all the way home..and then discover they screwed up my food order. Why don't they get my order right and why don't I just check while I am still there? It's annoying.

4)Bad drivers! We see them every day. I see more of them in my little town now then ever. They pull out in front of me, they run red lights, they go 60 in a 40 MPH zone, they tailgate, they text and drive, they..annoy me.

5)Litter bugs! If you want to smoke in your car, fine. Why must you throw your cigarette butt out the window? Why throw your fast food trash in the back of your pickup truck bed when you know it will blow out onto the street? Can you really not walk your empty soda can 10 feet to the garbage can at the park? Litter bugs are very annoying.

6) Whiny children! It seems that each generation gets worse. Many kids today are use to whining as a way to get what they want, to demand what they want, really. They whine, parents cave and those of us who work with or around kids have to hear it every day. "My mom says I can..", "But I want to..", and on and on. It gets on my last nerve. Truly, it is annoying.

7) Loud cell phone talkers! This happens in restaurants, malls, public bathrooms and as I discovered yesterday, car wash waiting rooms. It's nice and quiet, a room full of people sitting patiently and waiting to see their nice clean car. Then he walks in, the man with a cell phone and the need to feel important. He dials up a business associate and in the loudest possible voice, starts yapping about all his "important" business. Everyone turns and stares at him, but he isn't ashamed, he is happy that we all think he is worth noticing. Mr. Loud cell phone user, please shut up. Go outside to talk or speak in a low voice, because you are not nearly as important as you think. You are annoying.

8) Mosquitos! They are killing me in Texas. They make me have to walk around smelling like Off instead of Hollister. Please you stupid bugs, take your West Nile virus carrying, blood sucking, annoying selves somewhere else.

9) Commercials that are louder then the TV show I'm watching! There ought to be a law that prevents these stupid networks from cranking up the volume every time a commercial comes on. Some are so loud that they actually startle me. This is why I Tivo almost every show now, so I can fast forward through every loud, annoying commercial.

10) People who never call me unless they need something! We all have these people in our lives, some are "friends" and some are family. I don't exist for months and then when there is a crisis, the phone starts ringing. If you care about me, call me when everything is just fine, invite me over, see how I'm doing..don't wait until you need a rescue before you call me. The behavior is very annoying.

Maybe that's why I haven't been writing on AC as much lately, I'm too busy letting the little things annoy me!
