10 Things to Do when You Can't Find a Good Man

Stephanie Modkins
If you're single and over the age of 30, you are probably worried about getting married. Like any normal woman, you want the ring, the kids and the two-car garage and companionship, but the gods of love just aren't working in your favor. Sadly, statistics show that with every year, your chances of walking down the aisle will diminish. So, on those days when you're feeling low and wondering "why me", here's a few options.

If you can't find a good man . . .

1. Get a good dog.

He'll be more loyal anyway.

2. Try on an old pair of pants.

If they're tight, you'll start worrying about losing weight and forget about getting a good man.

If they're loose, you'll instantly feel good and forget about getting a good man.

3. Turn on your favorite childhood song.

It'll bring you back to a time that you hated boys and all you needed was a nap, a hula-hoop and a bowl of cheerios.

4. Go shopping.

A new outfit will make you feel like a new woman for at least 24 hours.

5. Go "green."

By the time you figure out all the stuff you need to do to go "green", you'll forget you were worried about finding a good man.

6. Call a married girlfriend.

After about 10 minutes of talking, you'll be glad your single.

7. Invite over an ex-boyfriend.

After a couple of hours, you'll wish you were alone.

8. Eat a container of Ben and Jerry's.

A sugary euphoria will overtake you and will help you forget about your single life.

9. Run around the block about three times.

If you can actually do this, your endorphins will have kicked in and elevated your mood.

If you can't do this, you'll be so tired you won't feel like worrying about a man.

10. Stop and pray.

God may not send you a man, but he'll definitely send you peace.

In conclusion, if you just can't find a good man, find a good friend. It's probably the first step to figuring out that the guy is a good man anyway.

(This is dedicated to all of my single sisters who are still in the struggle.)
