10 Things Most Commonly Told to an Annoying Child

"When Adorable Creatures Turn into Annoying Critters"

Mag Inzire
Absolutely we love our children, we care for them, we teach them, we feed them and ultimately we will do anything for them. But admit it there are times when these same little adorable creatures that we nurture for the rest of our lives can also become an annoying creepy crawler that digs underneath our skin just to that point of "UGH! I have had enough."

Those same questions of "Why?" Or those statements of "I'm bored." I wonder are we human encyclopedias or are we year round clowns. Who the heck are we anyway? We are just parents that love our kids very much, and we are just human and these creatures test us to make sure we really are human and not just some mechanical machine or battery operated robot that stays on and on...

Just in observance I have noticed the same sayings coming out of very different parents that it must mean we all think the same...at least just for a moment. Our poor parents who must of felt the same way and our poor grandchildren that will most likely be told the same.

Here I have compiled a list of the most common sayings that I have heard in response to those charming creatures that at times can become trying critters. Please feel free to add your own.

  1. Go Away! Don't you have something to do?
  2. I can't wait until you have kids of your own
  3. Please, oh please just give me 5 minutes to myself
  4. Just because I said so
  5. Because I'm big and your not
  6. That's life get used to it
  7. I guess it sucks to be you or me for that matter
  8. Then you should have been born into that family
  9. Get over it. Life goes on
  10. If you can't find something to do I will find something for you to do

And yes, we wake up the next day to start a whole new adventure. But in between all these comments we shower them with kisses and lots of hugs!

My mom always said "Because I'm the Mommy, THAT'S why!" When they're teenagers, however, you need good comebacks, especially when they say "I hate you!' My reply to that was "Well, then, my job is done!"
