Casper is home of many historic buildings, and museums.
1. Spirit Rider Wagon Train Adventures
Step back in time and ride a real covered wagon and get the whole pioneer experience! Ride a part of the Oregon Trail, eat food cooked like they would have on the trail in Dutch Ovens. You can pick from a 1 hour ride to a 4 night, 5 days trip.
2. Dawn Park & Museum Crimson
The Crimson Museum is full of local artists. The founder, Elizabeth "Neal" Forsling starting telling local legends and tales to the children who visited and that tradition has been carried on today.
3.Fort Caspar Museum & Historic Site
The city of Casper was formed around Fort Casper back in 1865. Now you can explore this amazing historical Fort and the museum that surrounds it. The fort's reconstruction includes a mess hall, telegraph hall, officers' quarters, smithy shop, stables, and a regional history museum.
4. Casper Planetarium
The Planetarium opens the night sky to visitors. With hands on work shops and lots to see and do! With an admission of only $2.50 this is a must see!!
5. National Historic Trails Interpretive Center
This is a museum for all the trails in the area. This show the trails, what they for used for and when. This museum has rave reviews and an amazing staff to guide you threw!
6. CENTRAL WYOMING FAIR & RODEO
If you are in own in July you can check out their Annual Rodeo and Fair. For 60 years now Casper has been putting on a great rodeo show for the surrounding areas!
7. Rotary Park
This park is located located just south of Casper and is home to the Garden Creek Falls and the 4.5 mile Bridle Trail. This is to things to do in 1! You an travel the trail to see the falls. It makes a great scenic spot!
8. Casper Mountain
Casper Mountain offers a variety of summertime activities. While mountain biking and hiking can be enjoyed on all public mountain trails, the Lee McCune Braille Trail offers a very special hiking trail that can be enjoyed by the sighted and visually-impared alike. Beartrap Meadow is a popular camping and picnic area that also hosts the Beartrap Summer Festival in July.
9. THE EASTRIDGE MALL
The EastRidge Mall has some great shopping of major retail stores. From Bath and Body Works, JCPenny, Macy's and more.
10. Down Town Casper
Downtown Casper has a variety of unique shops offering clothing, books, music, toys, antiques, and more. Don't forget their fine dining and amazing old and historical buildings!
