10 Things You Shouldn't Miss on Valentine's Day

Love is in the air, indeed! And, as February 14th gets closer, most "taken" people; married, engaged or even just dating are really trying to make that special day memorable for ourselves and of course, for our loved ones.

Making a list of things we shouldn't miss does make sense at all times.

To help you ease on cramming on the last minute, I've come up with 10 pointers that both men and women shouldn't miss on Valentine's Day.

Check these out:

1. Morning message to start. It's critical that you set your loved ones' mood the very first thing in the morning to love and romance. If you're not living together, it could be a text message, email or a phone call and greet them sweetly even if they're still half asleep.

2. Haircut to catch his/her eyes. Right after the morning message go straight to the parlor or the barber shop (for men). Anything new on your hair could easily be seen or notice and it usually conveys a message that you had your hair done, because you wanted to look best for your partner. And, they would see how serious you are in making him or her feel special that day.

3.Reservation for Two. It could be a dinner in a restaurant, a room accommodation in a fancy hotel, or even just reserving your own dining area for just the two of you. When you reserve, it something that you plan and of course, when we plan, we don't do it to most people in our lives, right? We only do it for someone really special to us, to show them that they are always remembered.

4. Gift. It doesn't have to be expensive and fancy, but, of course something that your loved ones would appreciate, something she/he needs, he/she would like, or something handy.

5. Greeting Card. Do not think that greeting cards are petty. Because, anything that is written "in black and white" has the connotation of "you mean business" and that you are serious on it.

At the same time, those cards can be kept and treasured; an evidence of how deeply you've loved that person, which other people from the coming generations in your family could have the chance to see and witness. And, those cards can remind our beloveds of how much they are loved. Truly, one great memorabilia to keep!

6. Roses or Chocolates. It could be both. It's totally sweet, especially if it's a woman giving a single rose to a man and chocolate along with the roses for a man to give to the woman of his life.

Rose expresses love and adoration, while chocolate symbolizes affection, romance and sensuality. When given both, is like saying "you complete me!"

7. Playing Your Song. Most couple, married and alike has a song. You can either request it on the place (restaurants, music lounges) where you are having the "reservations for two", or on your way going there, or could be after, or on your way home.

You can hum or just dance together, or just hold each other hands and reminisce the good times and cherish how far you have gone through.

8. A hug so tight. Hugging is an art. Each hug given and received has a message to say. For couples and lovers, any relationships beyond dating, a tight hug means a love to keep a lifetime, intense and so meaningful, you just don't want the person go. And, that's the kind of message our partners would love to hear and we would like to hear too. That we would be there for each other forever.

Falling could be easy, but "holding on" makes the difference. Through hugging tight and long, we are reassuring our loved ones that no matter what", we won't let go.

9. Sweet kisses. It's hard to hug without kissing. Even just a brush on someone's cheek is most likely the chain reaction after hugging tight.

Kissing is a way of expressing romantic affection and sexual desires. As the lips stay longer and deeper, it gets more sensual. And, of course, a Valentine's Day could never be complete without kissing our loved ones and probably give our best and sweetest kiss of the year.

You can do it along with your "morning message", or while driving on your way to your "reservations for two", just light brush on his/her hand and the "non-stop" everywhere, when you reach home.

10. Don't forget to say I Love You. Don't be a dummy to forget this, otherwise pointers 1-9 would be senseless.

Never have a second thought to say "I love you" and say it as often as you can; say it out loud each time you feel it, even if it's not valentine. Because, not all the time, we would be given the opportunity to let our loved one knows how much they mean to us; how much we love them.

Nothing is more beautiful on this earth, than to love and be loved. So, keep those loves burning, romance and enjoy your Valentine!
