1. Cut out the caffeine

Start cutting out the caffeine in your diet. Studies show that caffeine intake increase the risk of having a stillborn. Also, caffeine reduces your ability to absorb iron into your system and while pregnant you'll need lots of iron.

2. Go to the dentist

Good health includes good oral health which many people seem to forget. By visiting your dentist you can ensure that you're free of infections and reduce your risks for the natural gum irritation common with pregnancy such as swollen and bloody gums and mouth tenderness.

3. Figure out when you ovulate

It's good to know when your ovulation cycle begins. To figure it out you can purchase an ovulation kit at your local pharmacy. This will help you better plan and predict pregnancies.

4. Rid yourself of environmental dangers

Remove all dangerous or potentially dangerous elements in your home. This might be rusty pipes that will pollute the drinking water or a leaking furnace even. Also, if you work in a place where such dangers are present rethink your job, exposure to chemicals can affect your pregnancy.

5. Ditch the birth control

Go off of your current birth control and then keep a record of your menstruation so you can verify whether you are regular again or not. This will help your doctor in determining what to do if you have trouble conceiving or something is irregular with the pregnancy itself.

6. Start taking vitamins

Get on a good prenatal vitamin. Speak to your doctor to figure out which one would be best for you. Babies thrive in healthy wombs, make yours the most fruitful it can be.

7. Stop all bad habits

If you smoke, drink in excess, or do drugs you must quit. These are things that will only harm your baby and in the long run, harm yourself as well. If you really want a baby you should want the best for them.

8. Get yourself to a healthy weight

If you're overweight or extremely underweight you might have trouble getting pregnant. Most doctors recommend having a BMI between 20 and 30 for optimum healthfulness.

9. Avoid stress

Stress is terrible for all functioning systems of your body. Avoid stressful situations and circumstances as much as possible. Having a baby is stressful enough, relax and enjoy everything you possibly can.

10. Go do something fun, really fun

Do you and your significant other want to take a nice, long vacation somewhere? How about do some crazy activity? Well, there's no better time than before you start trying to get pregnant. Once you're pregnant and then after you have a child, there's no time for that anymore. The child becomes your life. Enjoy your time alone while you still have it.
