10 Tips to Stop Dry Cracked Hands During the Winter

For most women the winter months can take a toll on their hands. Winters are dry and having a cold blowing air does not help our fight against dry hands. Not only can winter hurt our hands but it can also affect our elbows, knees and our ankles as well. Below are 10 tips that'll help you fight off your skin drying out.

1. Although water can be your enemy during the winter it can also be your friend after getting out of a warm shower take a bottle of lotion and begin rubbing it throughout those dry spots. Make sure those areas remain wet while you're applying the lotion.

2. We're going to continue to use lotion while you're sleeping, apply the lotion to your ankles and your hands. Now put on some clean socks and a pair of small gloves keep them on throughout the night and in the morning your skin will be silky smooth.

3. Any time you get your hands near water you will need to apply lotion again. So keep a bottle of lotion beside your kitchen sinks and your bathroom sinks.

4. Don't apply it Vaseline Petroleum jelly, instead to use Vaseline lotion. Most people get confused over these two products one product is specifically made for dry skin and that is Vaseline lotion.

5. One if the big as reasons why we get dry skin is because we're not drinking enough fluids. Make sure you're drinking the proper amount of water throughout the day. This will help keep your skins and moisture.

6. Stay away from perfumed soaps or any other type of harsh soap. The best type of soaps to use on your skin are ones that contained some type of a lotion. You combine these types of soaps at your local drugstore.

7. If you could find a lotion with coco-butter for something wist shea butter in it use that and apply it to your skin. Most women find these products help them.

8. Using a humidifier during the winter months not only help you but it also helps your plants. Grab herself a nice humidifier and use it if for a few hours during the day.

9. If you don't have a humidifier leave a pan or pot on the stove filled with water keep it at a low heat and refill it when needed. Make sure you turn it off before you go to bed.

10. If you go outside during the winter always make sure you're wearing gloves not only for the cold but to keep the cold wind off your hands.
