Take pictures with a high quality camera. Photographers can capture the perfect image with a high quality camera, such as the Canon Powershot SX100IS. This camera features a 10x optical zoom and different settings which helps to take quality nighttime images. The Canon Powershot SX100IS is an 8.0 Megapixel camera and is highly recommended as a good camera for everyone.

Come prepared. Make sure to bring extra batteries and an extra memory card to capture the firework display. Toshiba sells a 2.0 GB Secure Digital memory card which is perfect for storing the high quality pictures. Once you have captured the night's images, you can transfer the pictures from the memory card to your computer with a MobileMate SD+ Memory card reader USB port. It is also recommended to bring 4 batteries with you, so you may capture the firework display from the beginning to the very end.

Make sure to find the perfect location. Arrive early to your destination to photograph the fireworks. By arriving early, you are able to avoid interruptions by trees, buildings, or people.

Make sure to enhance your photography with additional accessories. It is recommended to bring a tripod to ensure the images are not distracted with sudden movement. The tripod is a stand specifically designed for a camera. Available through http://www.usa.canon.com is a Mini Tripod 7, which is designed for smaller cameras.

Make sure your flash is turned off. When taking pictures of fireworks at night, it is important to leave the flash off. Make sure to set your phone to "Night" mode in order to capture the bright images. When the flash is turned on, it takes away from the brightness of the actual picture itself.

Keep in mind of focal length. If you want to capture specific colors embedded in the images, you may zoom in to the fireworks. If you want to photograph images of various fireworks within the sky you may want to zoom out to display the wide array of fireworks.

Set the shutter speed on the camera. When taking photographs, shutter speed ensures certain images are not missed. It is recommended to keep the camera in "Bulb" mode to capture the full image of the firework display. By having the "Bulb" mode turned on, the camera allows for long exposures for the photographer.

Be mindful of the framing on the images. Great photographers capture firework displays vertically and horizontally. If you want to capture the rise and fall of the firework, you would need to photograph the firework vertically. If there is a wide range of fireworks with a small distance from one another, you would need to capture the images horizontally.

Make sure the ISO stays below 400. The higher the ISO, the higher the sensitivity would be reflected on the bright images. Higher ISO levels tend to be made for low-light images, while lower ISO cameras help to display bright and colorful images. In order to capture the highest quality of images, it is recommended to stay within the range of 100-200.

Make sure to use Manual focus. Due to the fireworks being displayed at various points within the sky, it would be hard for your camera to automatically focus on a certain firework. In order to focus on various points within the sky, it is important to set your camera to manual focus so you can control which particular images you want to capture.
