How many times have you wanted to go out for a fun date but you really can't afford it? You want to get out and do something but everything you think of is way too expensive. During this time of economic instability people are trying not to waste their money. They just can't justify wasting money going out when they have bills to pay. Just because times are tight it doesn't mean that you have to give up going out. After talking to some friends and family members, I decided to put together an article full of cheap date ideas.First, find a nice restaurant you want to go to and see if they have a bar or a lounge. If you sit at the bar and order appetizers and drinks it's generally a lot cheaper than an entire meal at a table.

Second, go to your favorite restaurant for dinner and even dessert, but bring your own favorite bottle of wine and pay only a corking fee. This alone can make a huge difference in the bill.

Third, this is one of my favorites. Search the Internet and local dance studios for free or cheap ballroom dance lessons. Many places offer these to get new clients or throw weekend dances for the public.

Fourth, think about bowling . Bowling alleys are always offering discounts like bowl one string get one free or free shoe rentals and it can a be fun light and low key night out.

Fifth, go to your local library. They have free and discount passes to area museums and aquariums.

Sixth, go for a romantic stroll in a state park. They are usually well maintained and have established walking paths. Some are along the water and the views are breathtaking.

Seventh, pack a picnic . A bottle of wine some cheese , grapes, French bread and maybe some pasta salad makes a great picnic lunch. The beach, the park even a moonlit balcony can make a great romantic picnic spot.

Eighth, attend a culinary class together. Cooking a meal together and feeding each after can make for an awesome night out.

Ninth, check out your local rollerskating rink. It's so much fun and so retro. The girls just love it.

Tenth, eat dinner at home and splurge on coffee and dessert instead. Some coffee houses offer live music on the weekends and the atmosphere is great for chatting or cuddling.

I hope this helps for those times when you really want something to do , but you don't want to spend a lot of money.
