10 Unique Alternative Rock Wedding Songs

While country, pop, and R&B can all make for great wedding songs, some couples prefer rock songs. If you are looking for a unique alternative rock song for your first wedding dance as a married couple, you may want to take these options into consideration.

1. "Hold You in My Arms" by Ray LaMontagne

This alternative rock wedding song is about wanting to hold the one that you love forever. It has a very nice melody for a slow dance song. If you like this Ray LaMontagne song, you may also want to consider "Let it Be Me," which can be used for a either first dance or a father/daughter or mother/son wedding dance song.

2. "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band fans will want to consider this 2009 alternative rock wedding song. The song is about being able to accomplish anything you want with the person that special person. Although the melody is slightly upbeat, it can make a great choice for a first wedding dance song!

3. "Your Love is a Song" by Switchfoot

For a unique 2010 wedding song, this can be a great option. The song has a slow melody for a first dance and, at the time of this article, is not very popular yet. In the song, Switchfoot compares that special someone to a melody that flows through you. It can be a great alternative rock wedding song to consider!

4. "Forever" by Ben Harper

This can be another unique alternative rock wedding song to take into consideration. Ben Harper sings about how he wants to be with that special someone forever and how not a day less will do. It has a slow beat and lyrics which are great for a first wedding dance.

5. "Look After You" by the Fray

If you're looking for a really beautiful alternative rock wedding song, this can be an ideal option to consider. The song is about wanting to look after that special person in your life. This alternative rock first wedding dance song has a gorgeous melody for a slow dance.

6. "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon

Though this may not seem like a typical first wedding dance song, it can actually be a great choice on second listen.
