10 Unusual Songs to Request at Prom 2010

A Subjective Suggested Songlist

JB
People make a big deal out of prom. But no matter what you look like that night, if the music doesn't appeal to you, the whole thing will be a drag. I was never brave enough to request a song I liked when I went to prom. But if I could do it over in 2010, I know exactly what songs I would request. For those like me who would want an alternative variety of prom songs, the following 10 songs to request at prom should definitely appear on your playlist this year.

10. Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet - Fall Out Boy

This song is extremely catchy. Especially the chorus. The pounding beat will suck you in when you turn it on.

9. Danger! High Voltage - Electric Six

Another catchy one. In fact I strongly suggest requesting any Electric Six songs at prom this year. It will definitely make you want to dance. It's also fun to sing along.

8.Polite Dance Song - The Bird and The Bee

A bit more mellow, but still a great dance song nonetheless. An absolutely fantastic song, it is perfect for those slower moments between all the fast, hard, driven songs.

7. Good Girls Go Bad - Cobra Starship

This song is made for the dance floor. It will certainly excite the prom going crowd all through the night.

6. Fireflies - Owl City

One of the sweetest songs I have heard so far this year, I would want this to be on the playlist for prom 2010. The melody is cute.

5. Lovegame - Lady Gaga

Though this song is pretty popular, it is also extremely fun and inspiring for dancing. When this song comes on you will jump out of your chair and spin on the floor.

4. You Think You're a Man - Full Frontal

Good beat. How can you go wrong with music from Queer as Folk at a dance?

3. Never Wanted to Dance -Mindless Self Indulgence

Electrically charged is probably the best way to describe this song. This is a busy song but it's exactly what people need to inspire them to dance hard.

2. Let Me Entertain You - Robbie Williams

Quite a good song in my opinion, it will stir up good feelings and does not fail to entertain the crowd.

1. All Pain is Gone (Rapid Ascent Mix by VNV Nation) - Combichrist

Definitely a song that is geared around the beat. It makes for an excellent dance track.
