10 Video Game Crossovers I'd like to See

Lee Andrew Henderson
Video game developers are starting to run out of original ideas. One common solution is to take two or more stale franchises and combine them into one crossover video game. There have been some pretty good crossover games but there is still room for more. These are 10 video game crossovers I'd like to see, although they will probably never happen.

1) Link of the Colossus
Shadow of the Colossus was one of the most original games of this era. Shadow of the Colossus featured the best boss battles in video game history but the problem is the hero is not memorable. What we need is a hero that nobody will forget and I think the hero that should combat the large Colossi is Legend of Zelda's Link.

2) WWE vs. TNA
TNA Wrestling is a pretty poor television product and the video game isn't so hot either but a lot of wrestlers on their roster would make great video game characters. TNA might even have a more enjoyable roster than WWE, but to combine their rosters would be the best wrestling game available.

3) Twisted Kart
Twisted Metal vs. Mario Kart might seem like a mismatch but you'll think differently when Yoshii grabs an invincibility star and runs right through Sweet Tooth.

4) Grand Theft Hero
Grand Theft Auto is one of the best and most innovative video game franchises of all-time. The only improvement that can be made to the franchise if the hero was a superhero (Marvel or DC, take your pick) and all the missions included tons of cameos from other heroes and villains.

5) Portal/Pac-Man
Pac-Man is a classic but it could use a little update. What Pac-Man needs is a new way to avoid and/or eat his ghost enemies. Why not give Pac-Man the ability to create a portal in a wall to teleport from place to place and add a new dimension to the strategy.

6) Nintendo Princesses
Those darn Princesses are always getting captured. I think it's about time we put them together in their own game and make them fend for themselves. No Link, no Mario, just the princesses all on their own.

7) Streets of Dragon
Growing up there was two beat em up games that surpassed all the others, Streets of Rage and Double Dragon. Sure, the Double Dragon and Battletoads crossover was fun but Battletoads are no match for Streets of Rage.

8) Mike Tyson's Legos
There have already been great Lego versions of Star Wars and Indiana Jones and next is Harry Potter. Lego will need another franchise soon and the perfect choice is Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. First of all, Mike Tyson is back in the good graces with the populous. Second, can you imagine any video game characters that would funnier in Lego version than Glass Joe, Bald Bull and King Hippo?

9) Metroid/Contra
Contra games usually have totally insane levels that require only the best marksman, or markswoman. There is only video game character that can handle the action in a Contra game and that is Samus.

10) Mario's Bad Fur Day
What happens when that lovable, cute and kid-friendly plumber named Mario finally meets up with that vulgar, swearing and flatulent, squirrel named Conker?
