10 Ways to Fix Deodorant Marks and Stains

Get Rid of Those Pesky White Streaks for Good!

Leslie D
Usually, my morning goes a little something like this. After hitting snooze on my alarm clock for an hour, I finally get up. I'm running late. I have to let the dog outside. I take a shower, get dressed, throw on some make up, pull my hair into a pony tail, and realize I have no time for breakfast. I rush out the door, drive to work, and rush inside. I made it! I look down, and sigh, because I see them. The white streaks of doom. Deodorant marks on my shirt. Again.

I've tried using the clear gels, and the fact is, they don't work for me. I don't know why. Wearing them is pretty much the same as smearing cooking oil in my arm pits because they do absolutely nothing. So, if you're like me, you can use this list of tips to avoid a visit from the deodorant mark monster.

1. Keep a can of spray paint in your car. Spray paint your shirt every day. Unconventional maybe, but this is an instant solution. Except you'll probably stink like toxic paint fumes. And if your painting skills are as good as mine, you'll probably also paint most of your face and arms.

2. Forget painting your shirt and just paint your skin. This is how Garth Brooks applies his jeans, and look at how popular he is! You will be an instant hit!

3. Take your shirt off. Go topless. Walk around at work saying (very loudly) "I just feel like I forgot something at home today!"

4. Stop on the way to work and buy another shirt. Of course, if you're running late, this will not work. You may have to buy an extra supply of shirts and just keep them at your desk. Of course, this is also an excuse to buy more clothes, so I'm very fond of this one.

5. Keep a super soaker at your desk. Stage an office water fight. Get soaked enough so that the stains wash off.

6. Keep some deodorant at your desk. Smear it all over your shirt. Tell people you did it on purpose and that this is the new style all the kids are wearing.

7. Start a "shirt swap" day at work. Trade shirts with someone. Make sure beforehand that they don't have deodorant marks on their shirt. After this, the marks aren't your problem.

8. Print out the latest thing you're working on. Staple it over the marks. Tell people this is how you like to showcase your hard work.

9. Buy a newspaper. Fold it into an origami shirt. Put it on. (Make sure that you learn how to fold an origami shirt before trying this). If you don't know how to fold an origami shirt, fold two origami hats (much easier for beginners) and connect them with string. Wear them like a bikini top.

10. Wear a sandwich board. Use it for a bulletin board, to hang reminders of stuff you have to do, your calendar, and maybe a few snapshots of your family.

Follow any of these steps, and you'll never have to worry about deodorant marks again. Good luck!

I don't think this really necessitates "actual advice." Best way to fix deodorant marks and stains on your shirt is to learn how to apply deodorant. It isn't rocket science.

That was retarded... not remotely funny.. I thought you would give actual adivce.

    12. Instead of using the spray paint on yourself, keep it with you and spray the eyes of everyone you come across at work. They'll be blinded and will no longer be able to see the stains, and you'll have the added benefit of smelling paint fumes all day. It's win-win.

LMAO! 11. Call in sick--the spray paint gave you lead poisoning.
