Put down the bag of potato chips and pick up something with less fat like Chex Mix. Certain types have up to 70% less fat than chips.

Drop the soda and switch to diet. I have found several different diet sodas that taste just as good as regular soda.

Cut out the sugar. Use a sugar substitute such as, Splenda or Truvia. All the sugary taste without the calories.

Get up, get out, and start moving. Go for a walk, even if it's just for 10 minutes a day. The more you move the more calories you will burn.

When going out for a meal at a restaurant always order a salad, you will eat it before the meal and in return feel more full when your food comes out.

Drink water. It's the most healthy beverage you can have. It's easy and cheap. Just get a glass and turn on the faucet.

Do household chores. Putting the dishes away, ironing clothes, doing laundry, they all burn calories and have to be done anyway.

Cut out the fatty foods. Enjoy your meats grilled or baked.

Always have 1 "cheat" day a week. Reward yourself for all the good work you have been doing. Indulge in a cookie or whatever your guilty pleasure is. Just remember to do this in moderation. You do not want to ruin everything you have been working toward, but do need to allow yourself a little reward now and again.
