10 Ways to Rekindle Romance

Married couples often complain that their sex life is boring,and there is no romance. Every encounter is like the sad rerun of some television show. Does this sound like your relationship? Would you like to rekindle that flicker before the flame totally goes out? Here are some creative ways to light her fire.

According to Louis McBurney, M.D., at 4 Family Therapy.com, the first and foremost important thing in a relationship is communication. How can a couple decide how to restart their romance if they do not have open and honest communication? Dr McBurney states that women are usually the better conversationalist just because of their makeup. Men will have to work harder at being communicators in the relationship.

A great and fun way to begin an open dialogue is to sit down, and write what you want in the relationship. Make a wish list, with your top ten ideas for rekindling the flame. Make sure the ideas are varied. Do not concentrate on desires of totally a sexual nature.. It is important to listen and not pass judgment. By sharing a relationship wish list you may discover a totally new side to your partner.

The next step is to actually institute your partners wish list. After all, you are concerned about the other person's needs. Fulfill their desires. Do not be limited by the wish list. Think back to the past, and what your significant other said. Maybe they stated they wanted a back rub with nothing involved afterwards. Perhaps they want more foreplay before jumping into the main event. Be creative in your efforts to add romance to the relationship.

Having problems coming up with some creative ideas for was to surprise your partner? Here are ten suggestions:

1. Leave little love notes in hidden places. Place a note in a briefcase, in a cell phone case, in a lunch box.

2. Send balloons to the office. Attach a special note with the balloons.

3. Surprise your important other by doing a chore they always complain you never do

4. Run a bubble bath and light candles. Put on a CD in the bathroom with favorite romantic music.

5. Plan a surprise weekend getaway.

6. Purchase flower petals from a florist. Make a pathway to the bed, and place them on the bed too.

7. Giving a massage with nothing required afterwards.

8. Text a message to the cell phone.

9. Create a poem, and scent it with her or his favorite scent.

10. Plan a movie night at home, with your partners favorite movie and snacks.

The keys to rekindling romance include improving conversation, thinking about your partner first, and being creative. If your relationship needs help, nothing is wrong with contacting a therapist. Also, a great relationship book will help if your having problems. A good book to read together is The Love Dare by Alex and Stephen Kendrik.
