1. Cologne
There is no doubt about it. Most men love to take care of themselves and some spend almost as much time as the ladies in the bathroom grooming themselves. So get to know the kind of fragrance your husband likes and also what he dislikes, so that you can avoid getting him a cologne that will just sit on the shelf.
2. Sport's equipment
Has your husband taken up a new hobby lately? Does he like to play golf? Your husband will really appreciate the way you are helping to support his new interest. So shop around and try to find a unique gift that he can still put to good use.
3. Necklace
Does your husband like to wear necklaces? There are many varieties available in jewelry shops just for men and they tend to come in a chunkier chain. Do not opt for this gift idea though if your husband just prefers to stick with his wedding ring. I thought about buying my husband a necklace for one of our anniversaries, as he wears them from time to time. But he actually told me he would prefer not to receive a necklace, so I changed to a different gift idea. Some men just do not like to wear a great deal of jewelry and that is fine. Just go with your husband's tastes.
4. Barbecue equipment
If your husband is anything like mine, he will love to receive barbecue equipment, so that when the warmer months arrive he can impress you with his exotic meal concoctions. You can buy a pack of tools that includes a barbecue fork and brush. Practical gifts sit well with a lot of men. Barbecue tools are more likely to be items that will be used.
5. Clothes
Some men prefer to delegate clothes shopping to their wives, so you may already have an advantage in this area. Make sure you know your husband's current size and the style of clothes he likes to wear. A few nice t-shirts may just do the trick, or some shorts.
6. Anniversary weekend break
This is a gift you can benefit from too! Sometimes all our husband wants is a change of scenery and a relaxing few days away from the usual pressures of work. There is no need to spend a fortune. Go during the week for a cheaper getaway and indulge in some well deserved rest and recuperation.
7. DVDs
What does your husband like to watch? Has he been longing for the release of the latest blockbuster on DVD? If so, you can buy it for him. I'm sure he will really appreciate your kind gesture.
8. Video games
Tread carefully with this one. It may easily turn you into a "gaming widow". Having said that, there are a lot of good sports games out there, especially if your husband is into golf. Let him practise his swing for a fraction of the price it would cost if he went to golf school.
9. New toolbox
Your husband's toolbox may be getting old and the tools turning rusty. So now might be the perfect opportunity to buy your husband a new toolbox. I like the ones that have drawers, so that each tool can be neatly stored away.
10. One day spa treatment
More and more men are enjoying pampering sessions too these days and your husband may be one of them. Indulge them and let them relax in the beautiful and quiet surroundings.
Husbands like to feel special and have some romance during their wedding anniversary, just as much as wives do. So give your husband a nice anniversary card that really describes him and tell him how much you care and appreciate all that he does to help you. Husbands like to know that they have solved our problems, so let him know that he does this for you on a regular basis. Each wedding anniversary is a very special occasion and can be enjoyed with as much display as you like. Some couples throw a party and invite all their friends and family. Others, like me, celebrate the day just as a couple and go away somewhere nice for a few days. Remember your budget too. You do not want to go overboard with many elaborate plans. It will only increase your stress levels, rather than acheive your true objective and that is to relax! Try to make the day unique by tailoring it to both of your interests. It is not really the gifts or the cards you exchange that is of the greatest importance. It is the fact that the two of you share the very special bond of marriage. Your wedding anniversary is just one of many occasions throughout the year that you have to celebrate your marriage.

Post a Commenta real man wouldnt like to go to a spa. that sounds kinda silly.
I thought a lot of the ideas were odd. Men really want a day spa ticket? Do they really want cologne? Sports stuff, a toolbox and BBQ gift sounds too cliche. I personally think a husband would want a nice day off from work just to be himself at home, a massage (I'm sure your husband would never pass up that offer) and a great dinner. If you can't cook like me, maybe order take-out from a fancy restaurant (prime rib, for example), pick up before he gets home (if he had to work that day) and set up a fancy dinner at home. I think most men prefer home anyway instead of getting dressed up and going out. :)
