Well, in Europe, it's even better to be David Hasselhoff than in the US, especially Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and surrounding countries. Though his United States musical career has been quite modest, many European fans find his tunes uplifting and inspirational. You go, David Hasselhoff! But every superstar has a few areas they can improve in. Here is a list of the top ten New Year's resolutions for star David Hasselhoff:
10. Ban orange, black, and unbuttoned shirts from his Wardrobe - Though Baywatch gave the chest of superstar David Hasselhoff notoriety, lately his look is a little Tom Jones meets Johnny Cash. That might work for a Las Vegas lounge, but David needs to keep his buttons fastened! We saw enough of his chest in the eleven seasons of Baywatch. In addition, he wears black far too often for my tastes. I think he looks much better in blue. Black worked for Johnny, but David needs to use all the colors available.
9. Plan for a reunion with Kitt. - Wisecracking Kitt kept David's character Michael grounded and if he needed a reality check, Kitt was there to take care of it. Currently, the modified Pontiac Trans Am Kitt is hanging out at Universal Studios. Michael seldom visits, though the two were once close chums.
8. Take more vacations in Germany - As the comedian Norm MacDonald theorized, Germans really love David Hasselhoff. He's seen several platinum albums in Europe, though it would be more accurate to say that he is possibly more popular with the Swiss than with the Germans.
7. Take some lessons on how to respond to a roast with class from William Shatner - Recently, David Hasselhoff refused to parody himself at the MTV European Music Awards. It has not been exactly reported what David Hasselhoff was supposed to say, but he was supposedly supposed to say it with Justin Timberlake. William Shatner, on the other hand, was recently roasted in a deplorable and often ridiculous manner. He survived the parodies and often personal attacks with dignity.
6. Experiment with a New Look - The Wax on Wax Hoff site is a humorous parody involving strips of wax and funny comments from Kitt. This flash media offering displays a picture of Hasselhoff with no shirt on. Perhaps he can use this site to experiment with chest hair concepts. Maybe he could convince Stardoll.com to make his likeness. Only one problem: Do they put it under actors or singers?
5. Get back at OJ for derailing Las Vegas Music Career - When OJ took his famous ride, he kind of threw off David Hasselhoff's first concert, which was scheduled for the same day. He has not attempted anything similar since.
4. Strive to make "Get in My Car" as top video on You Tube to bump Hooked on a Feeling - Though David Hasselhoff's "Hooked on a Feeling" is a You Tube favorite for humorous reasons, his offering "Get in My Car", which is an intentional parody, has not experienced the same fame.
3. Plan a halftime duet of "Looking for Freedom" with Maverick's Dirk Nowitzki - Imagine David Hasselhoff's pride when Nowitzki proclaimed his affection for the inspirational tune, "Looking for Freedom." I'd love to see the two of them duet this song, which is incredibly pertinent to the time and the meaning of the song.
2. Plan for internet castle as current reigning "King of the Internet" - Though he meant the "King of the Internet" declaration in jest, it is unlikely David Hasselhoff would turn down a virtual castle in which to reign supreme.
1. Buy up all traces of Revenge of the Cheerleaders and make the campy film extinct - For those who have not seen this film, it reportedly displays David Hasselhoff au naturelle, including his package. Consequently, his character's name is "Boner".
David Hasselhoff will likely have a prosperous New Year; he is a superstar that people worldwide can recognize. Have a good year, David Hasselhoff! Happy Holidays!
