In the 2003 Disney movie Freaky Friday Lindsay Lohan stars alongside Jamie Curtis in yet another Hollywood movie about a parent and child whose bodies get switched. The theme of Freaky Friday has absolutely been done to death in Hollywood but the idea of a younger person in an older body and vice versa is easy to write and an easy film to make. You don't have to be a genius to think of funny lines in such a movie and you do not have to be a great actor to pull off such a movie.

Hollywood keeps making the body switch movies because they make money. Freaky Friday is no exception as the film has made $161 million dollars at the box office worldwide. This movie did not make Lindsay Lohan a star but it was her first $100 million dollar movie.

Mean Girls - $129 million dollars

Mean Girls is the movie that really made Lindsay Lohan a star. Playing Cady Heron who grew up in Africa until age 16 but now must attend a public high school in Illinois Lindsay Lohan showed absolute brilliance and a tremendous screen presence in Mean Girls. As she quickly learns the ropes of dealing with and being part of cliques in high school Lindsay Lohan gives an engaging and star making performance.

Tina Fey wrote Mean Girls and co-stars in the movie along with Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried. The movie is hilarious at times and hits just enough real truths about high school life to keep it on an even pace. It's not Fast Times at Ridgemont High but in Mean Girls Lindsay Lohan showed she can be a star and carry a movie.

Herbie:Fully Loaded - $144 million dollars

In the 2005 movie Herbie: Fully Loaded Lindsay Lohan plays a young race car driver who races Herbie the VW Beetle that has a mind of its own and a will to win. This is the second Disney made film that Lindsay Lohan starred in that made over $100 million dollars. It's a bit ironic that she has made two highly successful Disney films with basically wholesome characters.

Even in Mean Girls the character Lindsay Lohan plays has a good heart and a strong character. Despite her personal problems that is the type of role that Lindsay Lohan has had the most success with playing in movies.
