Sometimes love isn't always a happy emotion, which creates the need for sad love songs from time to time. Listening to sad depressing love songs for some can be therapeutic way of coping with a bad break up, losing a loved one, or expressing emotion. It also says a lot about the emotion behind a song when it can make you cry just by thinking of it or hearing it.
