1/1/11 is Today's Date. How Odd is That!

Will You Ever See that Again? No Way!

A short commentary on the unusual date today: 1/1/11

How odd is that!

Will you ever see that same configuration again? No Way!

The next odd numbers will occur on 1/11/11 which is ten days from now. January 11, 2011.

The next time the numbers 1/1/11 or 1/11/11 for a date will occur will be in the year 2111. Then the date will be 1/1/11 and 1/11/11 again. But will any of us be around then to see those dates?

Not unless the world sees an increase in the average age, or unless science gives us a way to preserve these earthly bodies and live longer. No, none of us is likely to see that configuration of the date of first day of the first month, or the eleventh day of the first month with a year ending in '11. Nothwithstanding those who may be born today who may live to see the ripe old age of 100. Or any child currently alive who may live beyond the age of 100.

Come November, the 11th month, we will see 11/1/11 on the first day of the month, and then 11/11/11 on the 11th day of the month.

Long live us all!

now add the last two numbers you were born in plus the age you will be this year and it comes to 111

Yes, well... with the way today's kids have a lower life expectancy than their parents the likelihood that someone born on one of these days will reach 100 is even slimmer than it should be.

Yeah, and on the 22nd, you can say "11 days ago, it was 1/11/11 !"

    Also 1/11/11 was yesterday!

In your lifetime, it's also true that the human retina never sees the exact same image twice. So really nothing ever really happens the exact same way more than once.
