Our financial institutions, automobile manufacturers, and many other industries have been run by greedy buffoons who are more interested in seeing how much money they can bilk from the system in shamefully exorbitant bonuses than in maintaining a great work force.
After all is said and done, those same CEOs beg our Federal government for bailout money. Now, even more good money has been thrown after bad...with virtually no concessions on how to surrender their abominable ways and become fiscally responsible.
Also without blame is every person or couple who is told by a lender that a house of a certain cost can be affordable, and they were unwilling to settle for a house that cost considerably less than that amount. The same goes for overextending credit in the purchase of cars, entertainment centers and other prestigious toys that people simply couldn't live without.
This is all about collectively living beyond our means with individual debt, corporate debt and also whopping debts amassed by our municipalities, states and Federal government. And now, all the bills are coming due.
In the spirit of our current financial situation, I present 12 great money quotes for your reading pleasure. Perhaps these quotes, from www.quotationspage.com will help all of us get a better perspective on things.
