12 Reasons Why Women Love Captain Jack Sparrow

Walt Disney World Attraction - Pirates of the Caribbean

Robin Costello
Disney refurbished the Pirates of the Caribbean not too long ago and added Captain Jack Sparrow to the ride. When you visit Walt Disney World, you must not miss this attraction, located in the Magic Kingdom in Adventure Land.

Normally when Disney makes any kind of changes to an attraction it causes upset amongst the die hard fans. (I am one of them)

This time it was different. When they added Captain Jack to the attraction people loved it. There are three Captain Jack's inside the ride cleverly added to the existing attraction.

So why were we, the die hard Disney-lovers, so accepting of Disney changing one of the original long-time loved attractions? What was different about this?

I'm not sure why the men didn't mind but I can tell you why the women didn't.

12 Reasons Why Women Love Captain Jack Sparrow

Captain Jack Sparrow is the captain of the Black Pear and women everywhere love him. These are the reasons why.

1) He is inquisitive- a curious man

"But why is the rum gone?"

2) He always lands on his feet...well, almost

Whether he is swinging from a crows nest or falling off a cliff, most of the time he lands on his feet. Even when it doesn't, he still makes it look good.

3) He can say 47 different things in 8 seconds just with his facial expressions

And we can just melt in those beautiful brown eyes of his.

4) He runs like he just doesn't care

Have you ever paid attention to the way he runs? He's all arms and legs. He's free to run like a girl and we still love him.

5) He has a reasonable explanation for everything

"Me? I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest...honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for because you can never predict when they are going to do something incredibly stupid."

6) Any man can shoot a gun, it takes real skill to swing a sword

Jack...opps, Captain Sparrow carried around a pistol for ten years with one shot in it. The rest of the time, he fought with a sword. He didn't just fight, he fought with style.

7) He wobbles when he walks (and when he stands still now that I think about it.)

I think it's the rum. It could be sun exposure. Don't know. It's cute though.

8) He can take a slap across the face.

Ever notice that he gets slapped across the face a lot? Hummm, wonder what bad boy things he does.

9) He never gets caught

"You'll always remember this as the day that you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow"

10) He doesn't steal, he "commandeers"

That makes it okay. Otherwise he would be just a common criminal.

11) He's loyal...to his "effects".

When I die, I want to come back as Captain Jack's effects. He keeps them close and never leaves them behind.

12) The biggest reason. One word...PIRATE

Savvy?

Love it Robin! And I love Captain Jack - but maybe that's just because he's really. . . JOHNNY DEPP! I even named my rooster "Captain Jack Sparrow" - he's not as cute though.
