12 Things You Don't Know About Lady Antebellum

Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood

Lady Antebellum is composed of members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood. They have been singing together as a trio since 2006.

Their album "Lady Antebellum" was the first debut album in the history of country music to debut at the top of the country album charts.

The band didn't want "Need You Now" to be their first single because they thought it wasn't up-tempo enough of a song. Instead, it was the label who though "Need You Now" should be their first single off their second album.

It took the band two years to write their second album.

Lady Antebellum didn't plan for their hit song "Need You Now" to be a song that could crossover to the pop music world.

Charles Kelley told CMT that he has a weak bladder. Even though that might be more than you want to know about the country star, it turns out that having a weak bladder is a good thing because he sometimes comes up with song ideas on the way to and from the bathroom in the middle of the night.

The band is flattered by people doing covers of their songs. In fact, they have posted some fans doing covers of "Need You Now" and "American Honey" on their official website.

The thing that helped Lady Antebellum the most when making their second album was the lesson of just being themselves.

Lady Antebellum on the band's second album, Need You Now: "It's very personal, so we really allowed ourselves to go there and be vulnerable and show the fans that we feel and we hurt and we love just like anybody else does. I hope they feel that when they hear it."

Charles Kelley admitted to CMT that the band might not have been concerned about singing "I'm a little drunk, I need you now" on a debut album.

"When You've Got a Good Thing" is Charles Kelley's song to his newlywed wife.

Hillary Scott relates to the song "Ready to Love Again" the most.

Charles Kelley told The Boot that his guilty pleasure is watching little kids online singing their song "Need You Now" especially because of how funny it is when they sing the line about being a little drunk.
