Statement No.1: "Whatever!" (This single word said in a rather nasty disagreeable tone is often considered juvenile.)
Statement No.2: "Are you having a bad hair day or what?" (Careful here, your boss could have just spent big bucks at the hair dresser to look like that. Honestly!)
Statement No.3: "You aren't really going to eat that are you?" (This statement said to an overweight or underweight employer can be equally embarrassing for both of you.)
Statement No.4: "What smells in here?" (Never make this statement after you enter the boss's office or after the boss enters your cubicle, unless of course you smell smoke and believe the building may be on fire.)
Statement No.5: "You want it when?" (Never argue over deadlines in a disagreeable way or with a "Duh, it can't be done" attitude.)
Statement No.6: "I Don't Think So!" (This statement said while rolling your eyes after refusing to meet the deadline mentioned above could get you written up fast.)
Statement No.7: "What are you - gay?!" (No comment here - just don't go there.)
Statement No.8: "Yo Momma!" (Do people really still say that?)
Statement No.9: "Get out of here!" (Meaning you have got to be joking; which of course, the boss never is.)
Statement No.10: "Damn dude, your wife is a real dog/skank/fox." (It may turn out the picture on his desk is his mother. Ouch!!)
Statement No.11: "I don't want that assignment, give it to someone else." (This comment said in an aloof manner almost guarantees you a visit to HR, or a pink slip.)
Statement No.12: "Because I said so!" (And just what makes you think you have the right to say so about anything?)
There you have it, 12 statements that should never be said to your boss; unless of course you are trying to get fired. Know anybody that has ever said any of these and actually gotten by with it? Have you? Did you find these statements funny or just plain stupid? Do I really care? No, but thanks for reading clear to the end.
Disclaimer: The author in no way guarantees you will be fired after making any of the above statements. But do you really want to take the chance?

Post a CommentI work in an industry where clear communication and honest opinions are important. Great example: If I don't think I can groom a dog safely, I have to tell my boss, "I don't think so." Usually of course, I don't phrase it with that attitude in mind though!
Cute, clever...and TRUE!
Lol, Whatever is a bad habit for me...I love this.... :o)
