12 Tips for Pregnant Women During the Summer

Enjoy Your Pregnancy Despite of the Summer Heat!

Why do pregnant women feel the heat more than ordinary people?

"Guilty" of these sensations are the progesterone hormone and the warmth released by the fetus.

If we take into account the fact that summer just begun, and high temperatures are about to come, our tips will be very useful!

1. Don't risk to dehydrating yourself; drink as many liquids as possible (tea, water) and eat vegetables with a high intake of water.

2. In order to cool down yourself, get a warm shower and wrap up yourself with a towel that was put into the fridge for 2-3 hours. If you are in a holiday, moisten your hands joints with a jet of cold water.

3. Wear casual clothes of silk. Do not wear clothes made of materials that retain the warmth or that are not comfortable.

4. Keep anytime and anywhere a fan in the bag.

5. Wear roman sandals or sandals that have as few straps as possible, which allow to the foot to breathe.

6. Use a refreshing body spray with mint, eucalyptus and other very fresh flavors.

7. It is necessarily to have air conditioning at work or home; if you can not afford the costs, buy a regular fan.

8. Keep in the refrigerator several wet wipes, which will cool you down instantly when you apply them on your face or neck. Also, always use ice cubs for drinks.

9. Don't sit in the sun. No matter how much you wish to get a beautiful tan, it's preferable to use a self tanning lotion than to expose yourself to the harmful ultraviolet.

10. Rest as often as you can in bed clothes made of linen or cotton and put curtains to windows.

11. The sun umbrella will be useful if you go out in the afternoon. You can also use a summer hat.

12. Keep in refrigerator cucumber and other vegetables and make a facial mask whenever you need to cool down.
