12 Ways to Use Coca-Cola Around the House

Sandra Bacon
There are claims that Coca-Cola can be used in many ways around the house, but I'm going to list only 12 ways it can be used, and as usual, before I give you the ways in which coca cola can be used, I want to give you a little background history on how this famous drink got its start.

Coca-Cola History

The invention of Coca-Cola can be contributed to Dr. John S. Pemberton, who wanted to replicate an elixir made with coca and was named Vin Mariani. The doctor came up with a thick syrup made from sugar, water, kola nut extract and coca. After inventing this elixir, Pemberton sold it to a druggist by the name of Willis Venable who added carbonated water to mixture.

The formula passed through several owners before it was eventually purchased by someone named Asa G. Chandler. Mr. Chandler was the one to keep the formula a well guarded secret, and decided to trademark the name coca cola in 1893.

As you know, the beverage's formula has only been changed once, and it turned out to be the worst decision the Coca-Cola company could have made. In 1985 Pepsi Cola was out-selling coca cola and this is why the formula was changed. But after 3 months of failure and pressure from the public, the company removed Coca Cola New from the shelves and replaced it with Coca Cola Classic.

More Coca Cola History

Some more interesting facts about the history of Coca-Cola is that in 1919, the coca cola company went public, and you could have purchased one share of Coca-Cola stock for about $40 dollars. If someone in your family had purchased just one share, in 1994 it would have been worth $118,192.76

One more fact is that if you take all the coca cola that has been produced, and place it in regular bottles, then place these bottles in a line that is end-to-end, they could make 1,045 round trips to the moon, which equals to be a round trip, once a day for the next 2 years, 10 months and 11 days.
