Bonehead Tip of the Day: By now, wouldn't we expect the snow? We may not like it, but come on, it snows. Unprepared? Huh? It's snow that falls and keeps falling. Then it blows.
The List: Top TV shows of week.
1. "NCIS" - 12.2 million viewers
2. "60 Minutes" - 11.5 million
3. "NCIS: Los Angeles" - 11.2 million
Source: Nielsen
Notes: Without a Sunday night game, it opened the door for another champ this past week. The honor goes to "NCIS," consistently the top rated weekly drama. And for the first time in years for me, I watched "60 Minutes" and enjoyed it. A slow holiday week made the top numbers a bit low as compared to a football game, but as expected. I thought the postponement of the game would help "The Sound of Music" a bit more than it did. Why would anyone still watch ""Million Dollar Money Drop" after that fiasco? Wait, they never did. Oprah's OWN starts on Jan. 1, smack dab in between all those bowl games. Here's a thought: Oprah will be fine. Has anyone found out how you met your mother yet? Let's not drag this out too much longer.
Trivia: Napoleon could not ride his horse very well. Probably should have taken his arm out of his jacket. The eskimos do not have any fermented liquors. But they eat rancid (yes rancid) fat for the same reason we drink alcohol. What? To act like fools on the weekend? It was a common belief in 19th century New England that if you died of consumption you would return from the dead. Oh, that's not all. You would feed on the blood of your family, thus causing them to waste away. Let's be honest, it was a good thing Isaac Newton was not very good at this farming thing. It was because of that he was allowed to pursue another interest. It also allowed himm more time to sit under apple trees.
Closer: One resolution is not saying or paying attention to the phrase 24/7/365. I will use 10/4/248. Time to ignore certain things and people in 2011.
