13 Things Worth Saving

From Breakfast to the Rainforests

Lara Clare
As the present rolls into the past, change occurs. Things come, things go, and this is the natural way. However, there are some things that should be saved for the future. Here's thirteen in no particular order:

1. Lunchtime: there should be room in your day that you can eat that is actually near the middle of your day.

2. Breakfast: less and less people seem to be eating breakfast, but generally people are in better moods on the days that they eat it.

3. Rainforests: this is what many people want to save, because of its beneficial effects on the world's environment.

4. Joints: a lot of people are in a lot of pain because they have crappy joints; they should try to save them.

5. Alternative protein sources: because some people just don't enjoy eating meat that much; it would be rather bad if they had no other option.

6. Some of the fashions from the 1950's to the 1980's: you have to admit they were cool. Okay, not all of them...

7. Bar soap (but not in public places): because it makes you feel cleaner and is better for you and the germs than fancy or antibacterial soap.

8. Toothbrushes: they should never go out of style. I don't think they really will though (fortunately).

9. Non-euthanizing animal shelters: they cost a lot to run, but the government wastes money in so many other areas. Plus they're more humane if upkept properly.

10. Table etiquette: even if people aren't at the table, everyone should chew with their mouths closed, even with gum, and such rules.

11. The ability to be a bum: some people want to wander the nation with no plan and not very much money and baggage, but some laws in some places make that a little more difficult than it should be. Nevermind, those people can just join bands and bum around with their friends.

12. Cheap movies: movies are extremely overpriced these days. It's crap.

13. Your life: save your life, keep it for yourself, don't give it away by letting others run it. Unless of course, you would prefer others to run it.
