Father's Day is coming up quickly and while you see many gift suggestions for that dad who likes to hunt, fish or golf, and even the dad who is a couch potato, you do not see many suggestions for the dad who likes to read. Below I have listed a selection of 15 books that would be great gifts for any dad that is a bibliophile.

If dad is a fan of non-fiction, you will want to check out the following books.

"Einstein: His Life and Universe", by Walter Isaacson. This New York Times Bestseller is based on newly released personal letters of Albert Einstein.

"Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything", by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner. A fun and interesting book that looks at the more interesting side of economics.

"At the Center of the Storm", by George Tenet. The former CIA director gives a candid account of the inner workings of the agency.

"Running With Scissors", by Augusten Burroughs. It is a touching and poignant look at a boy growing up in the 1970's with a mentally ill mother and the crackpot family she left him with.

"An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It", by Al Gore. This book, created to tie in with the documentary of the same name that will leave even an avowed skeptic a believer in our planet in peril. Maybe dad would prefer to escape into the world of fiction? If so, give these books a look.

"Simple Genius", by David Baldacci focuses on two former Secret Service agents who are investigating the murder of a scientist.

"Kingdom Come", by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is the final title in the "Left Behind" series.

"The Road", by Cormac McCarthy follows a father and son traveling in America following the apocalypse.

"The Book of Fate", by Brad Meltzer deals with murder, Masonic secrets, and a secret code invented by Thomas Jefferson."A Thousand Splendid Suns", by Khaled Hosseini is a follow-up to his best seller, "The Kite Runner". It is a tale of two Afghan women brought together by war and loss that spans fifty years.

"Dead Watch", by John Sandford follows a political operative who is looking into the murder of a former senator.
So, what if dad is a sports fan? There are some great books for him as well. Here are a few titles he might like.

"Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich", by Mark Kriegel.

"Big Papi: My Story of Big Dreams and Big Hits", by David Ortiz and Tony Massarotti.

"Opening Day: The Story of Jackie Robinson's First Season", by Jonathan Eig.

"Hardcore Diaries", by Mick Foley. There is really no end to the variety of books available for every father on your gift list this Father's Day, so be sure to give dad a gift that will give him hours of enjoyment.
