15 Ways to Celebrate Your Boyfriend's Birthday

Keep in mind that when planning birthday events for your boyfriend, always put him first. Don't just plan something that you would like, make sure it's something that he will enjoy. While it is the thought that counts, it would mean more to him to know that you considered his interests than it would to attend an elaborate party. While many guys are social and would want all of their friends present, others may want a more solitary night. Just be sure you do what he would want.

If He's a Homebody

If your boyfriend would rather stay in, one way to celebrate his birthday is to host a barbecue. If you don't think he will want to cook, be prepared to do so. Otherwise, you can prep the sides and meat, as well as handle the invitations, and let him take care of the grill. If the weather won't allow for a barbecue, another great way to celebrate at home is with dinner and a movie, or his favorite porn.

If He Loves the Outdoors

If you know he'd rather spend his birthday outside, there are dozens of relatively inexpensive ways to celebrate his special day. Take him to a sporting event. Host a scavenger hunt or camp out with friends. Organize a dodge ball tournament. Another fun way to show your outdoorsy man how much he means to you is to take him rock climbing.

If He's Competitive

If your boyfriend loves a challenge, there are tons of fun ways to celebrate his birthday and help him expend some testosterone. Miniature golf, laser tag, go cart racing, bowling and paintball are great ways for a competitive boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. If he loves to gamble, take him to the casino and give him $50. Or set up a poker night. Another idea is to take him back to his college days by setting up a beer pong tournament.

Keep in mind that regardless of whether or not he thoroughly enjoys the event, he's going to remember that you put the effort into it. But if you make it clear that you are annoyed that he didn't like it, he will never want you do another birthday party for him again.
