16 Time Saving Tips

This list revolves around cutting down on the mundane things in life. Create more time for yourself by:

Using a calendar to plan your time.

Making your appointments within walking distance of your work place. Don't drive too far. You can go to those places (doctor, dentist, hair dresser, beauty parlor, even your vet!) during your lunch break or after work.

Rinsing your dishes the moment you finish eating. You don't have to wash them immediately but rinsing will prevent the food from hardening and making the cleaning process a complete drudgery.

Spreading out your house chores over the week. If you try to do everything in one day, you will wear yourself out and do a bad job - like mopping the floor hap-hazardly and doing a bad job.

Cleaning from top down, not bottom up. If you clean from bottom up, all the dirt will fall from the top and you will be wasting your time.

Keeping a trash bag in your car.

Do your laundry during the time of the week where you are the least busy and not caught up on deadlines.

Do your cooking in advance by making preparations for the upcoming week during the weekends.

Keep away from sales calls - you don't need to answer every single phone conversation if you see an unidentified number appear on your phone.

Or, you can call for catering - saves time on cooking

When doing house cleaning, fill your bucket with all your clean rags, sponges, window cleaner, floor cleaner, toilet cleaner, pine sol and whatever other chemicals you use on a regular basis. This will prevent you from running up and down the house all the time.

Don't open your e-mails when you don't have time to reply them. They put extra burdens on your mind when you know you need to reply to their email but your mind keeps on drifting back and forth between your tasks and your mailbox.

Throwing away your feather duster. They act like dirt trappers. All it does is move dirt around for you to clean later. Buy a new one or get one of the latest 'models' that will avoid this.

Use e-banking for all your financing needs. It might take awhile to set up these things but after you have done it, you won't have to travel back and forth to the bank anymore.

You can also opt to use direct debit for your credit card payments so you can save a lot of time.

When running errands make sure you list all the items that you know need to get done during the day and combine your tasks when you can.
