19 Year Old Sean Saaf of Mt. Vernon, MO Dies in Truck Rollover, No Seatbelt

Car accidents in general, although impossible to avoid 100% of the time, are a deep tragedy. Losing the life of a young child or young adult is devastating, not just to the parents, family and friend of that child, but to the community as well.

On February 8, 2010, another young life was lost, that of Sean W. Saaf, 19, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. The young boy was driving a 1996, Dodge Pickup on Interstate 44 about ½ mile east of Mt. Vernon around 8:00 pm Monday night. When he lost control of the vehicle and struck the median cable, the truck overturned and the boy was ejected. He was not wearing a safety belt.

Sean Saaf was pronounced dead that the scene by Scott Lakin at 8:55 pm and taken to Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Missouri.
