1980's Movie Review - the Terminator - a Must See Movie for Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles

The Terminator is a great classic 80's sci-fi movie full of action, suspense and amazing special effects. The movie is set in 1984 and the 21st century where a war between man and machines is wiping out mankind. Two characters are sent back to 1984 from the 21st century. Kyle Reese is sent to protect Sarah Connor, the future mother of John Connor, who is the head of the human resistance fighters. The Terminator, a cyborg robot, is sent to kill her.

The Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is an intimidating presence from the moment he appears naked and bulging with muscles in a ball of crackling lightning flashes. It is quickly made known that he is a cold-hearted killer without a conscience as he punches his fist right through a guy just to steal some clothes. He is a character that terrifies you as throughout the movie he kills people all around him and will stop at nothing until his objective is met, Sarah Connor dead.

Sarah Connor, played by Linda Hamilton, is terrified and must learn to run for her life and trust a man she's never met before that says he's from the future, to save her. Kyle Reese, played by Michael Biehn, is the hero of this movie. He's a soldier form the 21st century resistance fighters and knows what the future holds. A very courageous and caring character, but only human. He must save the life of Sarah Connor, the future of mankind depends on it.

The intensity of this movie builds as two humans battle against the cyborg robot. The Terminator is eventually only the metal robot without any "human" coverings, making it even more terrifying because it's so realistic. A definite sci-fi thriller that's a must see. Especially for those who watch the current series Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles. You will learn all the history behind this series by watching the original Terminator movies, which I highly recommend.
