19 Year-Old Brianna Denison Missing: Brianna Denison disappeared from her Reno, Nevada ,home on Sunday morning and police say that she may have been kidnapped. Denison was a 19 year-old student at Santa Barbara City College.

According to police there was a small amount of blood on Denison's pillow, which they believe to be the product of foul play. The police are already looking for a 45 year-old man that they believe may have had something to do with her disappearance. This man is said to be driving a GMC Suburban and he may be of Latin descent.

This person is being treated as " a person of interest, not a suspect," according to Lt. Robert McDonald of the Reno Police Department. He made this clear on Fox News.

Brianna Denison is 5 feet tall and she weighs approximately 98 pounds. The last time she was seen she was wearing light blue or pink sweat pants.

This case is similar to the disappearance of Stepha Henry, who is still missing. Henry was a recent graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and she has been missing in Florida since May, 2007. She has yet to be found, although she is feared dead.

Henry is from New York and was vacationing in Miami for Memorial Day weekend. Police have charged a suspect in her disappearance even though a body has yet to be found.

Another woman who has been missing and in the news is Stacy Peterson. She, like Henry and Denison, is also presumed dead but has yet to be found. Stacy's husband, Drew, is suspected of foul play in the disappearance of his wife.

Several witnesses have come forward to say that they saw Drew Peterson in compromising situations with respect to his wife, but so far nothing of note has been found out.

College students and any other women can help to protect themselves by following several tips.

They should not travel outside at night alone. Being in groups makes it less likely for someone to attack.

They should have some means to protect themselves on their person.

Taking defense classes would make it more likely for a woman to get away if they were attacked.

Always use a campus escort service to take you across campus if you are studying late and are alone.

You should make sure to tell some people where you are going and when to expect you back in case anything happens

Peter- if a man comes up to you and points a gun to your head and says "give me your wallet or I'll shoot," does the fact that you give him your wallet make it any less of a robbery? You should be ashamed by your comments- women who are forced to have sex against their will are victims of rape, regardless of how hard they fight. Your close-mindedness perpetuates the negative stigmas that plague victims of rape. I encourage you to open your mind and imagine what you would want your daughter to do: fight and die or succumb and survive.

Um if they say give me sex and you say okay then it isn't rape anymore. Just some dumb girls drunken mistake turned into a lawsuit. Am I talking to a "going to the happy place solves everything" kind of person? Terrible advice, stay away from my daughter.

i have a feeling that these girls are fighting the person......this is very possible why they are ending up dead....no defense is your best defense........they just want what they want...unless it is a situation where this person is out to murder someone like a hit on them...the best defense these people have is doing nothing and letting them do what they want.....trying to befriend the person who has attacked you is the best bet of getting out of the situation alive....just like if you were robbed...give them the money......this should be handled the same way....just give it to them even if it is sex.......befriending them puts them at ease to where they dont feel threatened that you will go to the police.....and a good way of leaving the situation is to act as though you like the person and that you want to see them again...your best defense is no defense.
