So, check out these 2 new uses for bookcases in the bedroom. They will add some visual excitement in the bedroom and give it a whole new look.
Exciting Bookcase Décor #1: Headboard
Book cases make an awesome headboard that packs a ton of designer punch. Most people do not think of using a book case for a headboard, so you will have a great unique looking piece that will give a huge designer look to your master bedroom.
This idea also works well in kid's rooms for tons of added storage. Now, to do this you simply want to paint out the area behind the book case in a fun color. This will make the book case pop as a headboard in the bedroom. Once dry place the book case at the head of the bed. You may wan t to use L brackets to attach the book case to the wall for extra stability.
Now, load up with a few well placed items. If you have tons of books it really make s a great statement to have loads of al books in the cases. The spines of the book can add even more color.
Exciting Bookcase Décor #2: Divider
Another use for bookcases is to create a great divider in a large bedroom. You can put anything you do not want to be seen on the back side. You could even create a walk in closet this way. To do this look I like to use book cases that are made of wood.
You can screw the bottoms of the bookcase the floor. For the top you can place some plumbing pipes on top and screw the bottoms into he book cases and the tops into he ceiling. If you are lucking enough to have book cases as tall as your room, then you can screw straight into the ceiling.
If the backs of the book cases are open it will create more of a breezy feel. For a more divided look you can add a back to the book case or even rice paper.
If doing this designer looks in a child's bedroom you need to be sure they are securely screwed into place so that the book cases do not fall over.
