2 Women Rape a Man

Can This Really Happen ?

Men do get raped - though not nearly as often as women do. And rape is not fun, and interestingly enough it is neither fun for the victim or the perpetrator. Rape is more about misuse of interpersonal power than it is about sex.

Much male to male rape occurs in prison but it does also happen in the 'outside' world too. When studying the Unit "Rape 101" in a behavioral profiling course I was indeed most surprised to learn how much of sex business is actually governed from inside our own heads. Many of you might be surprised to know that if you hold a gun to a man's head and say, "get it up, keep it up and come" that they can and they will!

In other words it is entirely possible to exert total mental control over our sexual physiology.

The implications of these mere facts are wide and can be emotionally shattering.

Men more easily tend to get haunted by the fact that they 'could get it up and come'. They are likely to misinterpret this; thinking they must be gay, that they must have liked it, they must have asked for it or that they even deserve it - or any combination of these thoughts. And men are far less likely to report that they have been raped. There are more instances of women raping men than you might imagine.

A case involving male rape got into the newspapers not so long ago. People made all kinds of comments such as, "he must have enjoyed it", "it is not possible to rape a man" and, "he would soon get over it".

Not necessarily so.

Before you condemn a rape victim of either gender consider this; if sexual fantasies were banned then I reckon that there wouldn't be very much sex happening in our world.

Rapists have most often been raped themselves, though the memory is so often repressed, and a repressed memory is very potent. It much increases the likelihood that the victim may become a rapist themselves.

Rapists have vivid sexual fantasies involving sexually overpowering their victims.

And what's more rapists are actually usually convinced that their victims were actually soliciting them and therefore were 'asking for it'. I could write reams on this - and perhaps I will in future articles.

So - in a nutshell - yes it is possible to rape a man.

It is in the very nature of rape that anyone can be raped.
