I paid $2.78 for a box which contains 2 servings of pizza. I went with the Chicken with Peppers and Onions flavor. My other option was Cheese and Tomatoes. I fully expected to be disappointed by this product for one reason or another. Most likely the calories. I mean, pizza is supposed to be fattening and greasy and delicious, right?
This is one of the best single serving pizzas I have ever tried. It is delicious, a generous size for the low amount of calories and really not a bad price for such delicious, mouth watering quality.
I baked my 200 calorie portion of Chicken with Peppers and Onions Digiorno pizza for the recommended 15 minutes. It came out of the oven crispy, aromatic and absolutely appealing. I could not wait to sink my teeth into it.
The flavor was every bit as appealing as the fragrance it held. I was so pleased with this lunch sized portion that I called my best friend and raved to her about it, she is on a diet and is always complaining about how much she misses eating real food with flavor.
I would certainly recommend this product to others; I am going to pick up several more packages while I am at Wal-Mart this weekend for an oil change. Normally I would scoff at the price, as you might know, I pride myself on being a bargain shopper. In this case, around $3 for two servings of mouth watering goodness is well worth it! I am baking up the other half of this package now for lunch and getting anxious for it to come out of the oven. Who knew you could have pizza for lunch without worrying about how bad it is for you, or how many calories you are scarffing down!?
Digiorno 200 calorie portions contain 9 grams of fat, which is not too bad considering, hey, it is pizza! The chicken is visible and in the form of nice little chunks and the cheese is yummy. You get a combination of mozzarella, garlic and parmesan cheese with marinara sauce on a crispy and delicious thin crust!
Dieters rejoice! You can have pizza without the guilt! Thanks so much Digiorno!
