2007 4th of July Firework Shows and Special Events in Southwest Florida

With the 4^th of July quickly approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to compile as many local events here in Southwest Florida as possible and list them all in one article for your convenience. There are quite a few to choose from, from Naples to St. James City. No matter where in Southwest Florida you live, you can bet there are a few if not many Independence Day celebrations happening where you are this July 4^th2007.

Lynn Hall Memorial Park will be hosting it's annual fireworks display this year. Located at 950 Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach 33931. The 17^th Annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration is set to take place at the sunshine ace hardware plaza located at 18911 Tamiami trail in South Fort Myers. The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. from Sunshine Ace Hardware and will end at Three Oaks. Along with the parade, you and the family can participate in carnival style games, horse back riding or just grubbing out on various kinds of vendor prepared foods. The event is scheduled to begin around 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 1 p.m.

Do you live in Lehigh Acres? Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres is scheduled to present the Freedom Family Festival this July 4^th . The fun begins at 10 a.m. with games, contests, food and family activities. The grand finale starts at dusk with the annual fireworks display. Saint James City Florida will host their own 4^th of July parade. Set to start at 11 a.m. at the Winn Dixie Plaza located at 9856 Stringfellow Rd. For more information about the parade you can call (239) 283-4842.

Free Admission! Free Parking! Come to Fisherman's Village Punta Gorda for their annual fourth of July celebration. Located at beautiful Charlotte harbor, listen to live music and see a grand fireworks display. Event will take place at 1200 W. River Fest 2007 is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. in Centennial Park located in down town Fort Myers off of Edward Drive. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks display to begin at dusk over the stunning Caloosahatchee River. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs! Definitely an event no meant to be missed!

Naples will be hosting their annual Independence Day Celebration located at 12 Avenue South, known by most as the Naples Pier. A 20 minute Fireworks display choreographed to music over the Gulf of Mexico will begin at 9 p.m. Bring your blankets and beach chairs, sit along the beach and enjoy the stunning show.
