I took a test drive of the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid. I was used to driving bigger cars but the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid has a new sleek aerodynamic shape. The windshield has more of an angle to make the car lower to the ground. It was much nicer than any other the earlier Civic models I have seen. What attracted me to this car more than anything was the fact that it was a Hybrid.
Hybrids are very efficient on gas and the Honda gets about 49 miles per gallon in city areas and approximately 51 miles per gallon on the highway. The 2007 Honda Civic hybrid has an integrated Motor Assistant System that lets the car operate on the electric motor alone in certain conditions. It is also powered with an aluminum alloy inline four cylinder engine that is matched to a permanent magnetic motor. An AOL Auto review said that the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid has 110 horsepower that is controlled by a continuously variable system. It allows the car to work off of different systems to give you the most mileage and efficiency.
The performance of the car does not suffer. The 2007 Honda Civic hybrid has its own voice activated navigation system and satellite radio. It also has an automatic climate control to adjust to the weather. The 2006 model did not have some of these features.
I drove the car for about an hour and because it was a different type of vehicle, sort of like there is a difference between stick and automatic, I wanted to check to see if there were any specific tips to help me drive the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid with no problems. There are three things you have to remember when driving a Hybrid car. 1. is to drive slower than you would normally drive. This will give your mileage life a longer run for its money. 2. You should always try to drive around the same speed. When you are on busy streets try not to go faster then you need to and then slowing down to turn. The more fluctuations in miles per hour the more energy you use making the fuel less efficient. The last rule is try not to stop short or jam on the break unless needed. This also will also drain energy from your car.
The benefit of the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid are that it really improves mileage. It is a good price around 22-25,000 dollars. Most importantly it will protect the earth. Carbon Dioxide comes out of your exhaust causing pollution in the air we breathe. A care that burns less gas, such as the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid, will produce less Carbon Dioxide causing less pollution.
I would recommend the 2007 Honda Civic hybrid for anyone who cares about the air we breathe and their pockets. It is a beautiful looking car. I has most if not all of the same features any other car has. It will provide a safer environment for everyone and you will not be disappointed.
