2007 Independence Day Events for San Diego Part 3

Location: Oceanside Pier, 100 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, 92054

Every year the O'Fest Summer Beach Festival comes to the Oceanside Pier and Independence Day is always a big event for them. The O'Fest starts on June 29th and runs through July 4th. So be prepared for a long and eventful day here at Oceanside Pier. There are several events you and your family can go to on July 4th if you decide to come early.

The first is the O'fest Seaside Street Fair and that runs from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Attendees can view many different items including crafts, retail items and of course, food. Then from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., we have the Carnival by the Sea which pretty much speaks for itself. You can find this at the corner of Mission Avenue and Myers Street. From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., they will be hosting activities for your children which will include games along with music from ages 6 to 12.

From 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. they will have FREE concerts held at the Amphitheater. The concerts are Positive Groove (4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.), Will Faeber (6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and The Long Run which is an Eagles tribute band (7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). The fireworks display is at 9:00 p.m. and will last until 9:30 p.m. It's interesting to note here that city of Oceanside does not fund the fireworks. They rely strictly on donations from the people. This Independence Day, Spirit of the Fourth, which is a non-profit organization will be hosting an all day event for the people of San Diego. The festivities begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. where they will have a pancake breakfast held in Webb Park. They will also feature crafts, activities for the children, military displays along with entertainment that is live. They will also have a parade that will begin at 3:30 p.m. Then at 9:00 p.m., the fireworks display will begin.

This Independence Day, Del Mar Beach is hosting an all day event for everyone. They will have food, music and games. The fireworks display here will begin at 9:00 p.m.

Location: Town Center Community Park, Santee
Date: Wednesday, July 4th
Time: 9:00 p.m.

The city of Santee will have their fireworks launched off at the Town Center Community Park Ballfields. The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m.
