Every year the city of Julian has its Fourth of July Parade and this Independence Day; they will be paying to tribute to America's Guardians of Liberty 1776 to 2006. Activities will start two hours before the actual parade which will include some really interesting events such as Bob Grundzik and his team flying a total of six antique World War II aircrafts, songs that are patriotic, elected representatives from Congress and their speeches as well as ice cream for the children. Be sure to stop by the Town Hall here because they will have on display a slew of quilts made by the local people and some will be available for purchase. Then they will also have a raffle along with bake sales for attendees. The parade will start at 12:00 p.m. and feature Vee Lumpkins as the Grand Marshal who is a resident of Julian. It will also feature the Julian High School Eagles Marching Band, the American Legion Post 468 color guard, 4-H club, Buffalo Soldiers, llamas, restored cars and a few others. So take in the parade here at Julian and then plan for your fireworks somewhere else.

Fallbrook is hosting many events this Independence Day for all attendees. Doors open up at 4:00 p.m. Adults are $25.00 ($30.00 if you purchase your tickets at the door) and $10.00 for kids aged 6 to 12. They will feature children's games and prizes along with face painting. They will also have a cup race along with a silent auction. Music will be by the "Nitro Express Band" and Rita Coolidge will sing the National Anthem. There will also be food and beverage booths that include, chicken, baked beans, hot dogs, hamburger, pizza, cookies, beer, wine, soda and free coffee. Then at approximately 8:45 p.m. the fireworks display will begin.

Lots of fun events here at Old Poway Park this Independence Day which is fun for the entire family. They will feature arts, crafts, mock gunfights, a Baldwin Steam Engine where you can take a ride and many other activities for all attendees. They will also have food booths which will include, kettle corn, caramel apples and cotton candy.
