2007 Lebanon Blues Festival Guide

Free Music on Saturday August 4th from 11am Until 11pm

Halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati sits historic Lebanon, Ohio. The free Lebanon Blues Festival will take place in downtown on Saturday August 4, 2007 from 11am until 11pm, presented by The Lebanon Optimist Club. (http://www.lebanonbluesfestival.com/index.html)

Sponsors make the 9th Annual Lebanon Blues Festival possible. The Lebanon Optimist Club is a civic, non-profit organization and any proceeds from the festival will help the Lebanon community's youth.

The 2007 Lebanon Blues Festival will feature a classic car show, a day full of music, a variety of food vendors, a beer garden, a nearby playground, and family friendly fun. The main stage with 7 live bands will be situated on Mulberry Street.

12:30 - 1:45 - Gregg Clark & The Royal Blues

This regional favorite plays a mix of R&B, jazz, and blues cover songs and original music.

2:00 - 3:15 - II Juicy

The II Juicy Blues Band features an Aretha Franklin style vocalist and was the Cincy Blues Challenge Winner in 2006.

3:30 - 4:45 - The Jimi Vincent Band

Legendry drummer Jimi Vincent and his band play blues that rock.

5:00 - 6:15 - Paul Geremia

Paul Geremia is known for his finger-picking blues and mixes it with a piano, harmonica, and soulful vocals.

6:30 - 7:45 - Mr. Keith Little

Singer, writer, and producer Keith Little has two nicknames: 'The Cincinnati Blues Man' and 'Cincinnati's own King of the Blues.'

8:00 - 9:15 - Ann Rabson

Combining her raspy voice with guitar and piano, singer and songwriter Ann Rabson delivers blues performances that tell a story.

9:30 - 11:00 - The Bluebirds

The rockin' blues band The Bluebirds features a horn section and guitarist Marcos Sastre to end the night.

The Blues Bumpers and BBQ Show, sponsored by Trim Parts, will feature more than 150 classic cars. The cars will be displayed along Broadway Street next to the food vendors from 11am until 6pm. Proceeds from the car show will benefit the Humane Association of Warren County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.

There is lodging available directly in downtown Lebanon for those visitors looking to spend the night. Shaker Inn (http://www.shakerinnmotel.com/) is located on Route 42, Cincinnati Road. Hardy's Bed and Breakfast Suites (http://www.hardysproperties.com/) offers guests one of eight luxurious suites in four elegant Victorian homes, as well as a spa service.

The Lebanon Blues Festival promises a free day of live music to enjoy, classic cars to admire, delicious foods to taste, drinks in the deluxe beer garden, and more, on Saturday the 4th of August, 2007.
