Hobby Lobby, 107 Central Expressway (HWY 75), 214-495-0100
Hobby Lobby has all their fall items marked down at 90% off all Thanksgiving/Fall items. They have had this sale going on since the 20th of this month. They will continue with this sale until everything is sold. You will find paper plates and napkins, garland, wreaths, artificial flowers and a few figurines. They have been selling fast.
Target, 907 West McDermott Drive, 972-396-9486
Target still has a few cards, not many. They also have other items that seem to disappear. Customers are just relocating them to other parts of the store so quickly making it difficult to know what is actually still left in the store.
Home Depot, 909 West McDermott Drive, 972-359-0336
Home Depot seems to have a few Fall rugs, and some Thanksgiving items. Similar to Target, they don't quite leave the store. You can find them hiding almost anywhere. Most of Home Depot's Thanksgiving items are gone unless they have not put it all out yet.
Lowe's, 1010 West McDermott Drive, 972-727-8823
Fall rugs, and some bathroom items are still left at Lowe's. You may want to give them a call to see what they have left.
Big Lots, 117 Greenville Avenue, 972-396-2907
The second best store to find deals after Thanksgiving would have to be Big Lots. They still have some plates, figurines, wall and window decor, and some other odds and ends. They are beginning to become sparse on these items, but they do get another truck in this week before Thanksgiving.
Other stores worth mentioning, but may not have much of a selection either are Dollar General, Everything's $1, Kroger's Food, Tom Thumb, and Brookshire's. They will more than likely just have cards, and paper goods. It would not hurt to give them a call to find out what they have left.
Overall, Hobby Lobby and Big Lots are going to be the two best places to shop for Thanksgiving items on sale. Big Lots may surprise us all with extra items. Do call ahead of time if you know what you are looking for instead of wasting a trip. Even with the economy the way it is, Allen shoppers are seizing up all the bargains they can.
