2008 Easter Events in Dallas, Texas #1: Easter in the Park
The Turtle Creek Association will be hosting Easter in the Park on March 23rd. This free event starts at 11 AM and has a Pooch Parade and Costume Contest starting at 1 PM. There will also be musical entertainment by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. You're urged to bring your own picnic lunch or buy food from the food stands. The foods available to buy are like the food you can buy at the State Fair (corn dogs, funnel cakes, etc). There is a small fee to enter the Pooch Parade and Costume Contest but it is well worth it. Not only will you have a day of fun, but you'll be helping beautifying areas in Turtle Creek. This event takes place at Robert E. Lee Park, 3000 Turtle Creek Boulevard.
2008 Easter Events in Dallas, Texas #2: Stockyards Annual Easter Celebration & Texas-Sized Egg Hunt
Forth Worth Stockyards Historic District is having their Annual Easter Celebration & Texas-Sized Egg Hunt on March 22nd. This event starts at 12 PM and ends at 3 PM. This event is free and is packed with activities for the entire family. Your child can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny (make sure to bring your own camera), children up to 12 years old can hunt for eggs filled with candy and treats at 12 PM, there will be an educational program with live bunnies and chicks from 12 PM to 2 PM. There will also be other activities on the grounds. The Easter activities will be on the lawn of the Historic Livestock Exchange Building and the lawn of the Fort Worth Visitors Center on East Exchange Avenue. 2008 Easter Events in Dallas, Texas #3: Easter Sunday Brunch
Easter isn't about dining home anymore. In fact, it would be nice to give the cook in your family a break and take them out for a wonderful Easter Brunch. On March 23rd, the Fairmont Dallas is hosting a special Easter Brunch. There will be food that adults and children can enjoy. The Easter Bunny will be on site to visit and take pictures with your children. There will also be an Easter Egg Extravaganza for children 10 and younger. This Easter Egg Hunt will be on the hotel's Terrace level. Ticket prices for the meal are $78 dollars for adults, $65 dollars for seniors, $35 dollars for children 6 to 12 years old and children under 5 are free. They will have seating at 11 AM and 1:30 PM.
