2008 Easter Events in New York City #1; Annual Spring Egg Festivities at Bartow-Pell
The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum is hosting their annual Spring Egg Festivities in their formal garden on March 22nd from 10:30 AM until 1 PM. In addition to the Egg Hunt, there will be refreshments and arts and crafts. Children under 13 cost $10 dollars to participate and adults and kids over 13 are free. Your child will need to bring their own basket and don't forget to bring your camera to take lots of pictures of your child as they have fun in the hunt. You will need to pre-register for this event. 2008 Easter Events in New York City #2: Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival
The Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival has been going on for decades in New York and it still draws a huge crowd every year. This event is being held on March 23rd from 10 AM till 4 PM. This is not like other parades that are held in New York City. Parade goers walk through the streets in their Easter best (and unusual) for all to see. There are modern costumes and costumes of old as well as people dressing up as characters of movies, books and more. In fact, when it comes to the hats, the more unusual the better. The parade starts at 5th Avenue.
2008 Easter Events in New York City #3: Easter Egg Hunt
On March 13th at 3 PM, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Cromwell Recreation Center. Besides the Easter Egg Hunt, there will be refreshments (including yummy Easter Candy), contests, musical entertainment, and more. They are also offering free photos with the Easter bunny for the first 500 children. The Cromwell Recreation Center is located at Pier 6 & Hannah Street, Bay & Hannah Street. 2008 Easter Events in New York City #4: Crotona Park Easter Event
Crotona Park, located at Crotona Avenue between Claremont Parkway and Crotona Park North, is having their Easter Event on March 22nd starting at 12 PM and ending at 3 PM. There will be an egg hunt, music, hay ride, visit from the Easter Bunny, face painting, sack races and more. For more information, call (718) 430-4675.
2008 Easter Events in New York City #5: Spring Fling Egg Hunt
On March 15th, Carl Schurz Park is having their annual Spring Fling Egg Hunt. This event starts at 11 AM and ends at 1 PM. Besides an Egg Hunt, there will be arts and crafts, refreshments, photos with the Easter Bunny and a live performance by Mr. Ray at 1 PM. To go to this event, enter the part at the East 87th Street and East End Avenue.
