2008 Ford Fusion Se Review

Ford Has Done it Again

When searching for a new car, Ford was visited after reading all about how far their vehicles have come in the recent years. The car that was purchased was the 2008 Ford fusion SE. Although many options where available we decided on the moon roof and upgraded to the higher end radio and the price was still under $21,000.

The leg room and comfort in the front seat is more than ample and driving for long periods of time is no problem with the design of the seats. The back seat is not as well situated but is able to seat two adults quite well. The dash board is very well designed as far as vision and also has helpful settings such as how many driving miles are left until empty as well as the m.p.g. the car is getting, which is 27-29 highway and 22-24 local. The trunk space is extremely large. Looking from the outside at its sharp design the depth and height of the cargo space was a surprise. The radio is equipped with a 6 disc changer, MP3 hook up, and easy to use controls on the steering wheel as to not create distractions while driving. On the left side of the steering wheel is an equally user friendly cruise control. Overall the quality of this car is well above average considering the favorable price.

This model comes equipped with a 4 cylinder engine which is surprisingly powerful against the 6 cylinder model. Of course it wouldn't be as powerful but when you need a little pick up such as entering the highway it is never a problem. If there is one slight downside it would have to be the road noise coming from below when driving. It is not extreme but maybe a little louder than say a higher priced vehicle.

If you have a big active family, than this car may not be for you. A smaller family might find it slightly more than adequate. For a couple or a single person it is fantastic. Between pricing and gas mileage it is a winner. With the comfort level and overall quality, a commuter car is another great use for the 2008 Ford fusion SE. It is such a great car it almost seems like the phrase "commuter car" wouldn't quite say it all
