Kanye West had a touching and eye-catching performance. He performed a song in the dark with neon and glowing clothes and glasses and the disk jockeys were also wearing neon bodysuits. The best part was when the violins were glowing but you couldn't see the people playing them. After that the lights came on and he sang about his late mom. The audience was touched and a lot of people were crying. He even had "mama" buzzed into his hair!
Carrie Underwood had a wonderful performance singing "Before He Cheats". Her singing was phenomenal.
These are just a couple of the great performances of the night.
Some of the hairstyles at the Grammy's were just atrocious. Most of the dresses that were worn by the stars were beautiful but there were some that I can't figure out why anyone would wear, especially on national television. Some of them will probably be in the "Worst-dressed celebrities" section of magazines for a long time to come.
There was a nice tribute to the Beatles that they incorporated some cirque de soleil-type performances into.
The best speech I heard was Kanye Wests' speech when he won the award for Best Rap Album. He was trying to give his speech and they were trying to cut him off with the background music. He was upset and said something about them cutting him off. When he was talking about his late mom, he really got upset and said that would be a good time to cut the music. And they did. It was great. I am proud of him for speaking his mind and finishing his speech.
All in all, the Grammy Awards was a fun event to watch on TV, and I'm sure it was even more fun to be there!

Post a CommentYeah, guess what? It's an awards show. Everyone knows that there is a time limit to your acceptance speech. If Kanye's mother was that important to him, he would have addressed her first instead of boasting in front of the competitors, and then acting erroneously 'entitled' to more time. who does he think he is? contrary to his own inflated self opinion he is NO Michael Jackson. Case in point: middle America couldn't name one, if any of Kanye's songs. If nothing else, everyone knows Thriller or billy Jean or Bad. Kanye is a baby, and sux it!
