Corn Mazes & Haunted Houses

Go to the Agri-Center for the Cornfield Maze that is designed to salute the Memphis Tigers. It kicks off at 4pm and closes at 10pm. The maze and hayrides become haunted on Friday and Saturday nights during the month of October and that starts at Dusk, this is so much fun for the family. On Saturday there is special hours of Noon until 10pm and Sunday from Noon until 8pm. On Wednesday's in October bring the family out and enjoy smores and a hayride with Ron Olson from FM100. You can also pick up a pumpkin while you are there. Admission is $12 for 12 years old and older and $7 for ages 6-11.

Jones Orchard has a corn maze at it's Singleton Parkway location near the 385 entrance. The trail of terrors is so much fun and they have added a new attraction of the "Black Hole". There is also hayrides and a pumpkin patch. The scary fun starts at dusk until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Admission is $12 per person.

Go to Mississippi to Cedar Hill Farms in Hernando, Mississippi and get a wristband and enjoy the Haunted Hayride, The Trail of Terrors, and The Black Hole. The Trail of Terrors takes you through a path in the woods where you will be scared at every turn and the Hayride is fun for adults and somewhat scary for children. The fun starts at dark until 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights in October.

Next is the Terror in the Woods on Highway 51 in Millington to go through the woods and a decrepit house that has been transformed to scare your pants off. In my opinion this is the scariest around. Admission is $10.

Night Side Manor at 1310 Heiston Place in Memphis is a spook feast that all can enjoy. Admission is $12.

At 2596 Alturia Road in Bartlett there is a haunted adventure that you can't miss. There is familiar horrorific characters that will test your screams through out the outdoor haunted house. Admission is $7 per person.

Check out the haunted adventure at 700 North Germantown Road. You can choose from "The Asylum" or "The Darkness" to take you on the path of fear. It is full of scary characters that will make you scream. It is open 7:30 to midnight on October 16-18 and October 23-November 1. Admission to both haunts is $18 or $10 for one.

No matter which event you go to, you should be able to scare up some fun. The festivals are a great substitution for door-to-door trick-or-treating. If you don't see your festival listed pleae leave a message below to add it. Have a safe Halloween.
