2008 NBA Draft Preview: Darrell Arthur

Darrell Arthur hails from Dallas, Texas. He will be one of the many basketball players that will be part of the 2008 NBA Draft class. Darrell has played his college basketball career at the University of Kansas. Since playing for the Jayhawks, he has been named All Big 12 Rookie of the Year and was an All Big 12 Team Honorable Mention. While, in high school he made the Team USA Under 19 Team but was unable to play due to an injury.

Darrell Arthur has many strengths on the basketball court which have lead him to be part of the NBA draft. Darrell is a great athlete and an impressive ability to score in the paint. He has a phenomenal turn around jump shot. Additionally, he can run the floor and is an all around defender.

Some of Darrell's weaknesses on the basketball court are that he lacks polish in his ball handling skills and that he has difficulty selecting shots. He also needs to improve his passing skills. Darrell struggles to finish with his left hand as well. All of these weaknesses need to be improved if Darrell is going to be successful in the NBA.

Many news and sports related websites have listed their mock drafts for the 2008 NBA Draft. One of these sites is NBC Sports which has predicted that Darrell Arthur will be drafted by the New York Nets and will be No. 10 in the first round of this year's draft. This prediction is pretty consistent between all of the mock drafts that have been released. Collegehoopsnet.com also believes that Darrell Arthur will be picked No. 10 and by the New York Nets. It is pretty clear that Darrell will end up playing for the New York Nets next season.
